Good Morning

Husband rose and left this morning before morning light even dared to come out.

And while I should be be getting myself ready for the day,

instead I'm sitting here checking over my to do list for the day and realizing

how similiar this is to when we were first married.

In the little apt on Redwood Ln.

When Husband would leave in the very VERY early hours and come home late.

But I didn't have very much on my schedule then... and I missed my new husband very much.

I'm so grateful for the changing seasons in our life together.

The ebb and flow of schedules and responsibilities.

And this season of very few early mornings (:

Today

I'm Grateful For......

~surprise sunny days

~fall's farewell colors

~warm Clothing

~snack Time

~"L" drivers who wait

~pictures portraying life

~little ones smiles and cuddles

~lots of work (exhausting as it is :))

~unexpected moments with Husband

~the warmth and ease of the Jeep

~shrinking to do lists

 silly, but true.

As Thanksgiving is coming up (next week! I CANNOT believe it!)

I've been more conscious of counting my blessings and writing them down.

And I think this should become a habit as I've been enjoying it so much!

P.S. I should add "when Husband makes dinner" on this list

as I am now sitting here with a delicious dinner on my lap

after a long day of work courtesy of that wonderful man.

I am going to go give him a thank you kiss now.

I usually blog while Husband is at work but I've been working almost every night this week.

Happy Tuesday!

The past while has been so cold, dark, and rainy!

While I'm grateful for quiet mornings and a cozy home
I'm already missing summer days and skin (:

As we both sit inside nursing aching heads I find my mind flitting here and there.
From feeling nostalgic about the "first" days of us, to excitement with how much
is coming so very soon, to thinking I reeeally should finish my mending pile,
and usually landing on feeling of gratitude for these days where we are both here,
together, doing our own little things.
As interesting as this season of being a student is, I'm so grateful that every now and again
our schedule ends up with both of us at home working.
I cherish these sweet times and know that I will look back on this season with
amusement and fondness.

I sure do love our little life.

Hope your week has a bit more sun and less rain than ours!

Dracula

E- "Miss Lyssa, where is Dracula from?

Me- "Ummmm... Sesame Street maybe?"

E-"No. He's from Pennsylvania"

Me-"Oh... He is??"

E-"Yep."

Pennsylvania?!? Really? Is this true?

And I know Sesame street isn't correct but when she asked me that's the

 only thing that came to mind....

(And there is a Dracula on Sesame Street thank you very much JOSH)

yeah, I'm totally prepared to be a mom.
