Movies In The Square

Our neighborhood every Wednesday

night has a movie playing on the square.

We love it (:

We usually only stay for an hour or so

(at that point our bums start to fall asleep :P)

but its so much fun to sit and meet more neighbors

and watch random movies we've never heard of.

Next month they're playing silent films

and having local musicians come and play accompaniment!

 I am SO excited!

Josh will be in a night class every Wednesday night (boo!)

so if you find yourself free you should definitely come join me (:

So I just deleted A BUNCH of posts thinking they were 

draft posts (dumb.dumb.dumb.) and now they're gone.

GONE gone.

Does anybody know if you can restore deleted posts???

A good bye to January, I promise I'm still blogging, and a chubby baby

January was such a weird month for us.

January will go down as the month we realized I am probably allergic to dairy.

I know I know, cue the "whaaaat?

I have been in almost daily pain for several years now,

varying from a dull aching to mind numbing pain depending on the day.

We were sharing a little bit of this with some friends of ours who in response

asked if we had ever considered it being a reaction to dairy, 

because you know dairy can cause inflammation right?

And inflammation from dairy could present itself like arthritis right?

Um, yeah no, never EVER considered that.

And yet through a series of experiments and an elimination diet we have
found out that I am indeed allergic to something in dairy products.

So January has been full of changes in diet, lots of studying, lots of headaches from said diet changes and general Januaryness, lots of frozen mornings, wondering if our toes will be ever be warm again, lots of working and cute slobbering babies.

And he LOVES to give hugs and kisses (:

27 lbs of pure cuteness and slobber.
I love my job.

The date that wasn't and other ramblings

We intended to go to the Adler Planetarium after I got off from work today,

but we did more of a walk in walk and walk out kind of thing because

some lamo had a headache and needed a nap (ahem, me).

I also didn't realize how rough I looked until Josh took a picture,

apparently winter is wearing on me more than I thought...

Husband started school again yesterday, yay 5th semester!

(5 seemed like way too low of a number. So I had to recount 3 times to make sure

and yes, its only the 5th semester)

We bought a coconut last week and Josh made really yummy

coconut milk, I underestimate that man's abilities in the kitchen

When I got on the "L" this morning I was surprised to find

a friend I hadn't seen in awhile and it was such a pleasant surprise to chat 

and catch up the whole way, 

much more fun than dodging coffee breaths and avoiding eye contact (:

I wrapped our celery in tin foil and its still fresh a week later,

my world is changed.

If only our broccoli faired as well.

I really want some Valentines candy but I'm unwilling to cave to the Valentines craze

before February, there is quite the warring within me. 

And those are the rambling of a young student wife with a headache,

who should definitely fix her hair before her husband takes a picture of her.

We're leaving the city to go camping with some friends tonight and I feel like my brain has officially left my body so I sure hope Husband remembered everything we need (:
